Study Visa in Namibia

Namibia has some highly-regarded schools and universities, including St. Paul’s College and the University of Namibia.
All of which accept international students.
If you want to study in Namibia, first you must apply to an educational institution, and only once you’ve been accepted can you apply for a student permit.

A Namibia study permit is valid for two years and covers primary, tertiary, and higher educational institutions.
Student permits are renewable for a further two years.

To apply for a student permit, the student’s parents or guardians must complete a letter of undertaking to support the application

Note: All documents submitted to Namibia Immigration must be translated into English by a sworn translator.

General Document Requirements:

All applications to enter Namibia must contain the following:

• Completed Namibia Visa or Permit application forms.
• A passport that is valid for at least six more months and three blank pages.
• Two passport photos (current photos, please).
• Proof that you’ve paid the application fees.

Requirements specific to a Namibia Study Visa and Permit:

• Proof of acceptance from the educational institution and the period of study.
• Proof of payment for the period of study in Namibia.
• Proof of return itinerary and flights out of Namibia.
• Relevant academic certificates proving acceptance at the particular educational institution.
• Proof of International Health Insurance.
• Proof that you have enough money to support your during your stay (bank statements, etc)
• Proof of accommodation, for example, student res, digs, or host family.
• Medical certificate and radiological report (if applicable).
• Police clearance certificate from your country of origin or your last country (or countries) of residence from the time you were 18 years of age.
