Application to the Namibian Spouse, Partner and Dependant Visas Starts Here

You don’t have to experience all that Namibia has to offer on your own. Your family can live with you in Namibia, provided you have a valid Namibian permit to live and work in the country.
Your spouse and dependents (biological or adopted) must apply for an Accompanying Spouse/Dependent visa to join you.

  • Your accompanying spouse can work in Namibia under this a partner visa. There is no need for them to apply for a separate work visa or other Namibia permit.
  • Your accompanying dependent (who is still a minor) can attend school in Namibia without you having to submit applications for study permits.
If your dependent is no longer a minor (they are over 21 years old), they will have to apply for one of the other independent Namibian permits, like a study permit or a job seeker visa.

Note:Namibia doesn’t recognise life partnerships and same-sex marriages. You must be married to qualify for this a spousal visa. This is the single most important of all the requirements for the spousal visa.

If you aren’t married or are in a same-sex marriage, your partner will have to apply for a different Namibian permit.
It’s crucial to ensure that they apply for the permit that best fits their situation; for example, a work permit if they need to earn an income, a business investor permit if it’s possible for them to open a business, or a study permit if there is a field of interest in Namibia they want to follow.
